Program Coordinator & Lead Educator
Job Description:
The Program Coordinator and Lead Educator will develop program goals, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. They will oversee all programmatic, academic, and recreational activities at the SAFE Center. They are also charged with educating and inspiring students to learn, assessing their academic needs, creating plans to support students holistically, and work closely with partners.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare and teach academic lessons, check homework, and provide tutoring
- Schedule daily programming and coordinate academic activities and field trips based on the goals of the organization
- Administer assessments, monitor, and track academic progress
- Create individualized plans for students
- Development and implement curriculum and new programs that support the organization’s goals and objectives
- Set program priorities
- Plan and schedule academic activities, programming, and field trips for SAFE Camp
- Research and recruit program providers/partners
- Create a program budget, and equipment and supply lists
- Work with supervisor on procurement
- Work with partner schools' administrators and teachers to understand how to better serve our students
- Frequently communicate with parents

Marketing & Social Media Specialist
Job Description:
The Marketing and Social Media Specialist will advance the mission of Safe Alternative Foundation for Education (SAFE) through content creation and strategic online outreach. They also aide in enhancing and growing SAFE’s brand through digital storytelling.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Marketing
- Social media – Develop and administer content to engage with, and grow our social media community
- Email marketing – Create compelling and engaging newsletters
- Strategize, create, implement, and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns
Content Creation
- Photography – capture and edit pictures for marketing
- Videography – capture and edit video footage for marketing
- Collateral – design foundation collateral
- Website – create copy for website
Interact with students
- Aid with homework, team activities, and programming
- Model positive leadership behavior
- Monitor students to ensure safety
Other:
- Manage marketing interns

Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Management, or related field

Outreach Coordinator
Job Description:
The Outreach Coordinator will represent SAFE and work with leadership to development and implement initiatives that increase SAFE’s visibility within Baltimore City. The Outreach Coordinator will develop and manage strategic partnerships as well as volunteers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Public Relations
- Develop strategic partnerships with employers, academic institutions (schools and other training centers), training providers, and other organizations or individuals that can help further our mission
- Attend tabling and community events
- Develop press releases, brochures, and other marketing materials
- Organize outreach events and job fairs to promote the services of the organization
- Strategize, create, implement, and evaluate the success of marketing campaigns
Recruiting:
- Advertise for, screen, and recruit volunteers providing them with training and support, tracking their performance, and keep record of their activities
- Advertise for, screen, and recruit program participants
- Advertise for, screen, and recruit program instructors
Additional:
- Prepare an annual budget for outreach activities

Woodshop Specialist
Job Description:
The Woodshop Specialist will oversee all woodshop operations and trainings ranging from but not limited to; safety training, implementing age-appropriate programming, and working closely with employer partners to develop and administer employment specific trainings.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Teach woodshop programming
- Overseeing all woodshop operations and providing trainings for safety and machinery
- Work with supervisor with the ordering of additional tools and supplies
- Keep inventory of tools, materials, and clean and conduct frequent safety checks and maintenance on all equipment
- Ensure that all equipment and materials are safely stored
- Implement and strictly enforce safety protocols
- Develop and/or implement age-appropriate programming to meet desired outcomes
- Work with academic and employer partners to develop and administer subject matter trainings and programming to trainees and students
Additional:

Qualifications and skills
- CPR and safety training
- At least 2 years of woodshop experience
- Strong understanding of woodshop risk management and emergency planning
- Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
- Exceptional communication and teaching skills
- Ability to follow written and oral instructions
- Ability to safely manage a woodshop space for multiple people at a time
- Ability to assess and trouble-shoot mechanical fabrication tools and equipment
Case Manager
Job Description:
The Case Manager works closely with trainees, health care professionals and institutions, and employer partners to ensure that trainees receive the essential services and support needed to not only remove barriers to employment but thrive and grow within their career.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing trainees needs, preferences, desires, abilities, and developing plans to improve
- Determining which services and assistance are necessary
- Recording trainees’ progress and documenting referrals
- Evaluate trainees’ progress and making adjustments as needed
- Serving as a liaison between the trainees and partners to provide needed wraparound services
- Planning regular follow-ups to access additional needs
- Problem solving to ensure trainees needs are met
- Identifying additional essential service providers that are needed
